Thinkwares Parking Surveillance Mode vs Competitor Parking Mode

Parking Mode is a highly requested feature in dash cams. That is not to say that all Parking Mode features operate in the same way though. If you are looking for a Parking Mode ready dash cam, make sure you know the operational differences between Thinkwares Parking Surveillance Mode and the standard Parking Mode offered by our competitors and what Parking Mode can do for you.
1.) Parking Surveillance Mode Duration
2.) Battery Discharge Protection

Thinkware users who have Parking Surveillance Mode enabled dont have to worry about returning to a flat car battery the next morning. All our models have a built-in voltmeter and a timer in place to monitor the voltage level of your vehicle battery. If the time duration or voltage level reading is beyond the range set by the Off-Timer and Off-Voltage settings, the dash cam will prompt shutdown to ensure that users will return to a running car battery.
3.) Motion and Incident Recording

Thanks to a built-in impact sensor, our dash cams are able to detect motion and impact in Parking Surveillance Mode. While the dash cam is actively recording, videos are not saved on the memory card unless the sensor is triggered. With this method of recording, power consumption is minimized to conserve the vehicle battery charge and further extend Parking Surveillance Mode operation. Since the dash cam is actively recording, it can recall the 10 seconds of footage leading to the incident.
The standard Parking Mode* feature offered by our competitors that have motion recording at all usually only records after detection. This means that users will not have the 10 seconds of footage leading to the incident that could potentially provide critical information on the culprit of the hit-and-run or vandalism.
4.) Additional features
In additional to all the features mentioned above, F770 and X550 users also get to enjoy Time Lapse and Super Night Vision. These two new Parking Surveillance Mode features allows enhanced video quality in low light conditions and up to 16x longer recording time.
That sums up why you should be looking into how Parking Mode really works before you go out and get a Parking Mode ready dash cam. Have any questions about Parking Surveillance Mode? Just let us know in the comments below.
